In collaboration with recognized group training organisations, Region C is taking a committed and proactive approach to Indigenous training and employment in remote areas.
Region C is committed to increasing Indigenous employment in communities and aims to team each qualified tradesman with an Indigenous apprentice under an employment and mentorship program, that will encompass cultural sensitivity, the sharing of knowledge, practical trade skills and long term sustainable employment opportunities.
Engaging apprentices & their families in the apprenticeship process is an essential part of our Indigenous trainee program and as a community minded company, we realize the potential benefits that can be gained from improving skills through on-going training and sustainable employment opportunities for Indigenous residents in the Northern Territory.
Region C is also engaging with Traditional Owners and senior members of each community to discuss ways to work together to create positive solutions for "problematic issues" relating to remote housing.
Region C has formed Strategic Alliances with other Indigenous businesses and organizations in the Northern Territory to offer a more comprehensive and immediate response to repairs & maintenance issues in each of the communities and homelands within not only the East Arnhem region, but the entire Northern Territory.
